)-- Sugolog Inc. launches as part of its multilingual social media marketing support business the English language information media SugoJapan, launched on Facebook on December 22, 2011 and now beginning operations on Twitter.
What is SugoJapan?
SugoJapan is a web media focused on spreading the sugoi (cool, great, exciting, wonderful) pop culture and tech culture of Japan to the world by the use of social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and blogs.
When referring to “Pop Culture,” SugoJapan refers to one of the six fields targeted in the "Cool Japan Project" of the Japanese Ministry of Economy (M.E.T.I.) , the media contents field (music, manga, animation, etc.).
In "Tech Culture," SugoJapan focuses the technological areas of culture that revolve on web-based businesses like social games, smartphone applications, etc.
Why use the word Sugoi?
The Japanese word sugoi roughly means, “cool, great, exciting, wonderful.” The idea of sugoi contains 4 attributes that guide SugoJapan’s endeavor:
