Sound Service Announces a Remedy to Noisy Christmas Parties, Nuisance Neighbours and Excessive Noise Over the Festive Period

Sound Service suggests ways to avoid the noise from Christmas parties, noisy New Year celebrations, and raucous gatherings over the holiday period which can cause distress to adults, children, the elderly and pets.

Oxfordshire, United Kingdom, January 06, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Sound Service, Witney – announces a solution to the problem of noisy Christmas parties, nuisance neighbours and excessive noise over the festive period. Soundproofing products can help prevent the disturbance that noisy New Year parties and the noise of celebrations over the holiday period can cause to neighbours. Sound Service is announcing the delivery of novel solutions to the problem of noise in the home and from neighbours, and now offers ways to avoid the noise from raucous gatherings over the holiday period which can cause distress to adults, children, the elderly and pets.

“Noise from Christmas parties can be a problem and can disturb neighbours and children if they go onto late at night,” explains Stephen Young, General Manager of Sound Service. “It is not just a question of keeping the volume of your music system down but the combined noise of lots of people talking can be a problem as well.” Many people do not realise how much noise can travel at night and can be heard from a considerable distance away.

Sound Service explains that this is because a lot of the normal daytime background noises have stopped and so noises that people would not normally be aware of are easily heard at night. “Usually once children are asleep they remain that way regardless of the amount of noise going on until they would normally wake up in the morning,” explains Stephen. “But if they are not yet asleep, noise from parties can keep them awake for much longer.”Sound Service customers will also want to consider their neighbours and will not want to annoy them more than necessary, so any soundproofing solution needs to take account of that fact. Few actually do, which makes the new service from Sound Service both novel and welcome at this time of year.

Sound Service offers advice as well as solutions about how to reduce the stress of noise over the festive period, including: “When planning a party, invite the neighbours closest to you,” suggests Stephen; he goes on to suggest, “If the speakers to your music system are floor mounted, put them onto a resilient mat such as thick foam or our Speaker Isolators. This will help reduce structure borne sound penetrating adjoining properties.” Sound Service advises customers to fit heavy drapes to the windows and keep them closed, as well as ensuring there are as many soft furnishings within the room as possible; these ‘common sense’ steps combined with the novel products from Sound Service will help reduce reverberation within the room therefore, reducing the overall levels of noise being generated. Stephen points out a few obvious steps that people can take: “keep the music volumes down, ensure that all windows and doors are kept closed, and finally, implement a professional soundproofing system if you are worried about neighbours hearing the noise from your party.”

The soundproofing solutions offered by Sound Service will not stop very loud noise from being heard, but they will reduce the intensity of the noise being heard.
