Delray Beach’s most popular art affair returns January 21 & 22, 2012 featuring a wide array of fine art by the nation’s top artists. The Downtown Delray Beach Festival of the Arts consistently ranked as one of the best art events in the U.S. by Sunshine Artist Magazine appeals to locals and tourists alike. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority. Admission is free and open to the public.

This highly anticipated event, the largest art affair in South Florida spans one mile of Atlantic Avenue in Downtown Delray Beach, starting at US1 and continuing east over the Intracoastal Waterway all the way to A1A and the Atlantic Ocean. A truly eclectic mix of the finest art in the country will be on display and available for sale; from the vibrant and bold to the subtle and whimsical, festival goers will be able to explore original works of art created in a myriad of styles and media including paintings, life size sculptures, photography, glass, wood, jewelry, collage and ceramics. Prices are set to suit all budgets and range from $25 hand-designed earrings to $30,000 metal sculptures.

The Downtown Delray Beach Festival of the Arts, a signature event for the City of Delray Beach, makes the arts accessible to a broad audience and highlights notables in today’s art scene. The event appeals to people of all ages as a free and fun weekend activity, as well as serious art buyers looking to add to their collections.

The artists, juried by an independent panel of expert judges and hand-selected from hundreds of applicants based on quality and diversity, will be on site for the duration of the art festival, available to discuss their art and inspiration. All of their artwork is original and handmade in America.
