Hue, Vietnam, January 13, 2012 --(PR.com
)-- A two-week memorial period lasting from 5th to 19th February 2012 will see visitors heading into Hue from all over the world to commemorate one of the bloodiest battles from the Vietnam War and to remember their fallen comrades.
The memorial covers both the Battle of Hue City and also the Tet Offensive, which took place in South Vietnam. Veterans who took part in the battles and their family members regularly travel to Vietnam on an annual basis to commemorate the anniversary. This year marks the 44th anniversary of the Tet Offensive and the Battle of Hue City.
There are many events organised for people to enjoy which commemorate the two battles, and they are hosted by Colonel Chuck Meadows, himself a former company commander during the Battle of Hue City.
With so many additional visitors in town to take part in the memorial festivities and events, leading online hotel room price comparator DirectRooms.com advises that the choice of hotel Hue city centre
has available could be limited.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head of DirectRooms.com, says, “Many hundreds of people head to Hue each year to take part in these memorial services, and that shows no sign of changing this coming February. As such we recommend early booking of hotel rooms to be sure of getting a good level of choice and availability.”
