Samurai Karate Studio to Host Free Self Defense Workshop for Women

Sensei Chris Feldt, owner of Samurai Karate Studio, located in Richland Northeast Columbia, South Carolina, recently announced that his school will be hosting a free self defense workshop for women as part of January, National Stalking Awareness Month. The workshop is scheduled on Wednesday, January 25th at 7:30pm.

Columbia, SC, January 18, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Sensei Chris Feldt, owner of Samurai Karate Studio, located in Richland Northeast Columbia, South Carolina, recently announced that his school will be hosting a free self defense workshop for women as part of January, National Stalking Awareness Month.

"Stalking is a serious issue in the United States," commented Feldt, "and my goal is to raise awareness and teach simple techniques that would help a women break free from a stalker if suddenly attacked."

The workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, January 25th and will start at 7:30pm. Due to the sensitive nature of the material discussed, the minimum age for participation is 13.

The seminar will cover both the physical as well as psychological factors as they relate to assault.

The workshop is being sponsored by The Samurai Foundation, a local non-profit organization that was created to support the community work of Sensei Feldt and Samurai Karate.

Samurai Karate Studio teaches a traditional style of karate to children and adults beginning at age 4 and up.
