)-- Sonorous Entertainment Inc.—reported today that the Company will have a representative in attendance at this year’s Midem Music Festival in Cannes, France, January 28-31.
Midem is the world's largest music industry trade fair, which has been held annually at and around the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France, since 1967. Bringing together musicians, business people, cultural policy makers, and journalists from many countries, it provides a forum for business talks, discussing political and legal issues, and showcasing new artists, musical trends and music-related products.
A series of conferences are notably organized, in keeping with MIDEM's growing vocation to educate the industry about new revenue streams. Although major labels and other corporate actors dominate the scene at MIDEM, its events also include the International Indie Summit.
Last year’s festival was attended by 6,850 delegates from 3,120 companies (out of which 1,735 had stands or pavilions of their own) and 360 journalists, from a total of 77 countries. Even though attendees come from all over the world, those from Western Europe and North America clearly dominate.
“We believe it is crucial for Sonorous to have professional representation at this music festival that brings together music makers, cutting-edge technologies, brands and talent to enrich the passionate relationship between people and music and transform audience engagement. The music industry is re-inventing itself and we want to not only benefit from these evolving technologies but be part of their innovative development,” stated Sonorous Entertainment’s CEO, Mr. Dwayne Bigelow.
Sonorous will provide a synopsis of this year’s Midem Festival in future press release and or on the company’s website at www.sonorousentertainment.com
