Friends of the NCVMA Foundation Supports Clover’s Care

Philanthropic Arm of The North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association Makes $750 Donation to Asheville Nonprofit

Asheville, NC, January 28, 2012 --( The North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association ( has announced that Friends of the NCVMA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the organization, donated $750 to Clover’s Care on behalf of the organization. The foundation allocates $750 to NCVMA district representatives each year to donate to the animal-related organization of their choice. District 11 representative Tom Kuhn, DVM, chose to donate to Clover’s Care, an Asheville-based nonprofit organization providing veterinary care to pets whose guardians cannot afford to pay for needed treatments.

“We are pleased to be able to support Clover’s Care,” said Claire Holley, executive director of the NCVMA. “All families should be able to keep their pets healthy, and it is wonderful that this organization exists to achieve that objective through the volunteerism of veterinarians as a public service. Through the Friends of the NCVMA Foundation, our members are able to support Clover’s Care and other animal-related nonprofits throughout the state.”
