Ladera Ranch, CA, January 29, 2012 --(PR.com)-- UCI MIND Welcomes Help from SeniorCareHomes.com to Promote, Raise Funds and Awareness for Alzheimer’s

SeniorCareHomes.com, a leading online resource for senior care and senior housing information, announced its partnership with the UC Irvine Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders (UCI MIND) this month to promote “The Time of Your Life,” an event aimed at generating awareness and raising funds for Alzheimer’s research.

The third annual event is scheduled for Saturday, March 10 at the Center Club in Costa Mesa. UCI MIND is hoping to raise $150,000 for continued research in Alzheimer’s, a disease that currently afflicts more than 5.5 million Americans. UCI MIND, Orange County’s only federal and state designated Alzheimer’s disease research and diagnostic clinical center, predicts the number of individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer’s will rise to more than 16 million by 2050 if more isn’t done to treat it.

“The Time of Your Life” will feature multiple rooms reflecting musical and pop-cultural settings from the 1960s such as the British Invasion, Motown, and the Beach Boys. Guests will be taken back in time with the Sinatra Supper Club room and the TV Land room celebrating the golden age of television.

All proceeds will be dedicated to Alzheimer’s research at UCI MIND. Tickets start at $200 and sponsorship opportunities are still available.

“SeniorCareHomes.com is excited to help promote UCI MIND’s events to help raise funds to combat a disease that is harming so many families,” said Erwin Allado, president and founder of SeniorCareHomes.com. “We are dedicated to contributing to the well-being of aging adults throughout the communities we serve in as many ways as we can.”

Allado and his wife Kate founded SeniorCareHomes.com, an online service that provides a comprehensive online directory of over 65,000 senior care homes and communities in the U.S., to help aging adults and their families better understand and navigate the options available to them.
