)-- Monique R. Nayard has left ICAP Media for a key position with TomCat Films where she will rejoin her former Moving Pictures colleague, Ted Chalmers. Nayard has signed on with the company’s recently formed worldwide sales arm as SVP, International Sales. She will be based in Toulouse, France and will join Chalmers at the upcoming European Film Market at the Berlinale next month.
“I am truly excited to be working with Monique again,” says Chalmers. “She was a key sales performer at Moving Pictures and I feel that she will prove to be a valuable asset as we continue to expand our company and its overall position worldwide.”
The key hire comes at a crucial time for TomCat as the company attends its second major film market with a new slate of films. Recent acquisitions include Family Of Four with Alexandra Paul, Nothing Sacred with Bill Sadler and Thierry Lhermiite and the musically themed, Beat Battle.
“I am pleased to be working with Ted again,” says Nayard, “We worked well together in establishing Moving Pictures over the years and will do the same with TomCat. We will also be announcing some considerable pick-ups at EFM.”
Nayard established her career over 20 years ago and has successfully worked in both international film and television distribution. In the most recent years, Monique has been working as a Sales Executive with Moving Pictures Film & TV, which recently became ICAP Media. Her prior engagements included sales for Strategic Film Partners, Sandra Carter Global, Katapult and Shoreline.
She has worked with such major companies, as First Look Studios where she served as Vice President for 2 years representing the companies theatrical, as well as library titles in all media. She also held the post of President of International Distribution at Keystone Entertainment, while running all aspects of the dept and personnel for 5 years.
