GolfNet Signs Agreement with Active Network to Help Courses Drive More Rounds

GolfNet and Active Golf team up to deliver a robust golf course marketing system for public and semi-private clubs.

Pinehurst, NC, February 04, 2012 --(PR.com)-- GolfNet (www.golfnet.com), a leader in golf handicap and tournament management systems, announced today that it has signed an agreement with Active Network to create an enhanced golf course marketing and promotions solution for golf courses.

“This agreement with Active Network allows us to provide our growing database of golfers with easy access to tee times and courses supported by Active Network,” said Jim Stracka, CEO, GolfNet. “GolfNet is helping Amateur Golf Associations grow by bringing the Public Play golfer to them and helping their member golf courses drive more rounds.”

GolfNet operates a social network for golfers, USHandicap.com, and a number of affiliate web sites where golfers can, among other things, track scores and maintain an official USGA Handicap Index™. GolfNet also provides USGA handicap Indexes™ and tournament management systems for many state and Canadian provincial golf associations including Golf Canada.

Per the agreement with Active Network, GolfNet will integrate the Active Network’s tee sheet reservations system into GolfNEt’s network of clubs and public players, giving users an easy way to both manage their game and find their next place to play.

In addition to tee sheet reservations, participating golf clubs will have the ability to interactively promote their courses through banner advertisements, mass messages, email campaigns and sponsored blogs through a web-based solution offered by GolfNet.
