Olathe, Kan. Company Offers Unique Alternative with In-the-Wall LCD/Plasma TV Cabinet

Olathe, KS, May 16, 2007 --(PR.com)-- When it comes to unique ideas, WG Wood Products is definitely on a roll. With the current trend of consumers moving away from traditional TV sets in favor of thin LCD and Plasma TV sets, they’ve taken the mere idea of hanging the TV on the wall to a whole new level. This new cabinet is custom built to the customer’s specifications to fit their TV and inserts into the wall. The TV can then be mounted inside the cabinet. While it is true that for most of the large TV sets, at least one stud will need to be cut out, the company does offer installation in the local Kansas City metropolitan area by a licensed home builder and remodeler who is also a partner and owner in the Company. “These cabinets are perfect for new construction as well as existing construction. With new construction, the builder can simply give us the rough in dimensions of the hole they are filling and we can custom build the cabinet to fit that size hole. We can custom build it in many configurations with options such as media shelving on one or both sides of the TV space, or even lighted niches or curios as well. That way the customer can truly get the look of custom built-in cabinetry at a fraction of the cost,” said CEO, Michael Sloan. The cabinet can be made with or without a center channel speaker riser shelf above the TV section, and can be ordered unfinished or in several different finish options.

In business since 2003, the Company offers an array of in-the-wall products including magazine racks, toilet paper holders, medicine cabinets and other cabinetry, as well as more niches and curios than you can count. Each product is completely unique and can't be found anywhere else in the marketplace at any price. Each is also handcrafted from solid Whitewood Radiant Pine or Oak. They also manufacture in-the-wall spice racks and cabinets, media and home theater speaker shelving, bookcases, even an in-the-wall MiniBar. And the Company has plans for many more interesting products coming up such as their in-the-wall Gift Wrap Station and unique Garage Cabinet, a perfect place to store and organize tools and other items out of the way.

The Company began with a simple idea – the MR-1 magazine rack which remains unchanged from the original design. “I searched high and low on the internet and could not find what I really wanted. So I built it myself. After finishing that magazine rack, I decided it turned out so well, that I wondered if anyone else would want one,” said the Company’s founder, Michael Sloan. When sales quickly took off on eBay, he got his answer. Their website quickly followed, along with offerings on Amazon.com. Steadily growing since then, the company recently relocated to a larger facility in Olathe, Kan. and continues to offer its products through its website, eBay and Amazon.com as well as a network of independent Dealers. "With the Grand Opening of our new showroom, we're able to reach the metropolitan Kansas City market and display over 100 of our products, and we've combined our manufacturing and finishing operations into one building for the first time,” said Partner, David Culver. "And we are actively meeting with the local builders in our area now to show them how they can make their homes memorable and truly unique in the marketplace with an affordable product that has never been seen before."
