Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, February 07, 2012 --(PR.com)-- “Expat Ride” the book on the problems of Indians living in Gulf countries, written by Riyadh-based Indian journalist, Mohammed Saifuddin and published by YaHind.com, was released by former Minister for NRI Affairs, government of Andhra Pradesh, Mohammed Ali Shabbir recently. This book covers diverse issues and problems being faced by the Indian expatriates in Gulf countries.

“Expat Ride” is the maiden publication by YaHind.com, the popular website of the NRIs. According to its CEO Mr. Syed Zia Ur Rahman, this is a small beginning and his team is looking forward to climb many new heights in future.

“The book represents maiden attempt on author’s part to address various concerns among Gulf returnees as well as expatriates. His long stay in the Kingdom, journalistic experience back home, keen observation, and ability to read between the lines, combine to make 'Expat Ride' a roller coaster ride,” adds Zia.

YaHind.com released the book coinciding with the Investor’s Summit in Hyderabad and just few days after the conclusion of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in Jaipur.

The “Expat Ride” author, Mohammed Saifuddin is an experienced bilingual journalist with equal command on English and Urdu languages. He worked for India’s largest circulated Munsif Urdu daily, Hyderabad and Awam Urdu daily. After shifting to Saudi Arabia, he contributed many articles to English and Urdu newspapers. Saifuddin was associated with YaHind.com since its early days and contributed many articles.

After launching the book in Hyderabad, Former Minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir stressed on the necessity to attract small investors from Indian residents in Gulf countries to invest in India. Concerned with the fact that government mainly tries to attract huge investments from NRIs in western countries, Shabbir said, "schemes should be evolved to attract group investments from low salaried Indian workers in Gulf countries."

Mohammed Ali Shabbir said, "the problems of the Indian workers in the Gulf countries are different from NRIs living in other countries. They should be dealt separately." He highlighted several steps taken by the government of Andhra Pradesh when he was the Minister of NRI affairs.

He appreciated Yahind team for publishing a book on the important subject and congratulated the author for penning down this book.

The event was attended by prominent NRIs from Riyadh Mr. Nadeem Tareen, Chairman Delhi Public School Riyadh, Mr. Viren Joshi (Australian Embassy Riyadh) and Mr. Mir Himayat Ali (Managing Director Levtech Consulting, Riyadh).
