GRC Announces Pre Annual Meeting Workshops

Geothermal Resources Council will host two-days of workshops before the GRC Annual Meeting.

Davis, CA, February 08, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Geothermal Resources Council (GRC) has announced details of two workshops to be held just before the GRC Annual Meeting at the Peppermill Resort Spa in Reno, Nevada, USA. The workshop presentations will be given by geothermal experts from private industry, national laboratories and universities from around the world.

The Drilling Workshop will discuss and explain the development and implementation of a plan for economic drilling of hydrothermal and Engineered Geothermal System (EGS) wells. (Two-days)

The Reservoir Workshop will provide attendees with a good working knowledge of geothermal reservoir stimulation principles. (Two-days)

“It does not matter how much you know – you can always learn something at the workshops,” says Toni Boyd, Senior Engineer at the Geo-Heat Center, Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls in Oregon, and member of the GRC Board of Directors.

Both workshops will be held on Friday and Saturday, September 28 & 29, 2012 at the Peppermill Resort Spa in Reno, Nevada, USA. The GRC 2012 Annual Meeting starts at the same location on Sunday, September 30. Registration for the workshops will be available at the same time as registration for the GRC Annual Meeting opens in the early summer.
