Vegan Petman Denounces McDonalds’ Pit Bull Radio Ad

Vegan Petman Takes to YouTube to Challenge Radio Ad That States Eating Chicken McNuggets is Safer Than Petting a Pit Bull

Hauppauge, NY, February 09, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Many of us have heard the McDonald’s radio ad that says that “eating Chicken McNuggets is safer than petting a pit bull.” Steven Spitz “Vegan Petman” is outraged over this ad full of misinformation and has posted a video on YouTube denouncing this ad that spreads fear and misinformation about an entire breed of dogs.

“McDonalds and their ad writers are extremely misinformed about pit bulls,” said Steven Spitz (Vegan Petman). “Pit Bulls are, by nature, people pleasers and affectionate animals. Because these gentle creatures love to please, people have trained aggression in them. This is a trained behavior, not a natural behavior. These dogs are not aggressive by nature. Considering that this ad comes from a company that has a history of issues with animal treatment, including a recent Good Morning American story that aired about an investigation into McDonalds’ egg supplier that revealed horrendous conditions for chickens; this ad had no business airing.”

Steven Spitz is glad the ads have been removed, but feels the damage has been done. He is not alone. In the three days since this video was posted, the video has over 6,200 views, with the number growing at a rapid pace.
