Uniastrum Launches U-Bank, a New Online Banking Service for Retail Customers

The enhanced functionality of the lender’s new Internet bank service means that Uniastrum customers will now be able to perform over 50 types of operations online.

Moscow, Russia, February 10, 2012 --( Effective February 1, 2012, Uniastrum’s new online banking service, U-Bank, will be available to all customers in Moscow and the Moscow region. Before long, the service is to go nationwide. Connection to the system is free and there is no user charge.

U-Bank is an innovative and convenient remote banking system enabling users to perform a wide range of payment transactions online whenever they please, from anywhere in the world. U-Bank has been specially developed to ensure a user-friendly interface and the opportunity for users to customize their settings according to their preference.

U-Bank features a special information service and limited access for obtaining details of accounts and bank cards (without effecting payments), as well as comprehensive payment services. Uniastrum customers hooking up to the system can select their preferred access level.

Full access to the system enables customers to obtain up-to-date details of their accounts, loans and deposits, find out about card balances and available credit, receive account and card statements covering any period, transfer money between their own and other persons’ accounts, exchange currencies at Uniastrum rates, pay for telecom services, public utilities and other services by transferring funds to over 800 companies in Moscow and other Russian cities. Most transactions performed via the U-Bank system are free of charge. State-of-the-art technology ensures that maximum security is maintained at all times. In order to access the system, the user is required not only to type in his or her login and password, but also session keys, specifically one-time numeric codes used to confirm payment transactions.
