Kim Weiss PR & Marketing Changes Name, Location

Boutique PR agency changes name and location to reflect mission, client base

Raleigh, NC, May 18, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Kim Weiss PR & Marketing, a boutique public relations agency formerly based in Knightdale, NC, has been renamed "blueplate pr" and relocated to 610 Hillsborough Street in Raleigh.

Launched three years ago by Kim Weiss, former executive editor of Spectator magazine and North Carolina Architect magazine, blueplate pr is “a small and cost-effective ‘boutique’ public relations agency with a fee structure optimized for modest PR budgets,” she said. The name change reflects the mission, she added: “As ‘blueplate’ implies, you get a lot for a little!”

The new location better serves the agency’s clients, Weiss said, the majority of whom are located inside the Raleigh beltline.

She also noted that she dropped the “& marketing” from both the agency’s name and focus because “my strength lies in public relations, not marketing. So I’ve decided to focus more sharply on that aspect of the business -- message development and positioning strategy, consistent media relations, news programs/angles, contributed articles, editorial calendar development, speaker placement, and special events planning and promotion.”

blueplate pr’s current client list includes: Frank Harmon Architect; landscape architect Dick Bell; f8 Photo Studios; Porto home furnishing in North Hills and Chapel Hill; Samuel Cole Salon and Salon Moxie; artist Jason Craighead; artist Clark Hipolito and The Art Company; and, most recently, Sedna Films, a film production company based in Santa Monica, CA.
