Ohio Amber Alert Canceled. Child is Safe!
Springfield, IL, November 03, 2005 --(PR.com)-- Police issued an Amber Alert on Thursday for a missing or abducted 3-month-old girl who was taken from a northeast Ohio home.

Her abductor is considered violent and is a known drug user, police said.

Shyla Markley was last seen in the 200 block of South Maple Avenue in Orwell, Ohio, Wednesday at about 5:30 p.m., according to police.

Her alleged abductor is Derek M. Markley. Police did not specify his relationship to the girl. According to police, he was driving a maroon or silver 1994 Chevrolet C15 pickup truck with Ohio license plate No. DNM-6844. 

UPDATE - The Ohio Amber Alert has been canceled. The suspect is in police custody and the child is safe.
