Arlington, TX, May 21, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Bob Moore Construction has received the 2007 Outstanding Construction Award from Texas Building Branch-Associated General Contractors of America (AGC). The company was selected as the top submission in the category of Industrial / Warehouse Over $5 Million.

The Texas Building Branch AGC is the service office for all AGC building chapters in the State of Texas. The various categories of their Outstanding Construction Award competition included 34 entries from all across Texas, which were chosen for nomination through local AGC competitions. Bob Moore Construction was nominated for the Texas Building Branch-AGC competition after winning the Summit Award from QUOIN, the north and east Texas chapter of AGC, earlier this year.

The award will be formally presented at the Texas Building Branch AGC Annual Convention in our nation's capital July 15-18. The award ceremony itself will take place in Washington DC on July 18, 2007.

Bob Moore Construction's Outstanding Construction Award recognizes the Mouser Electronics Expansion project in Mansfield, Texas. This project increased Mouser's headquarters facility from 173,000 to 432,000 SF. It included 78,500 SF for office, call center, and data center space; a 3,000 SF two-story totally radiused rotunda with curtain-wall structure and a louvered sunshade system that rings the rotunda 13' above the terrazzo stone floor; and a new 180,000 SF warehouse.

2007 marks the third consecutive year where Bob Moore Construction has been recognized with a major award. Earlier this year Bob Moore Construction won QUOIN’s Summit Award for the Mouser Electronics Expansion Project. In 2006 the Arlington general contractor received the Summit Award for the Trammell Crow Company CargoCentre™ III and AirFreight & LogisticsCentres™ complex at D/FW Airport. In 2005 Bob Moore Construction was selected as General Contractor of the Year by AGC / QUOIN. Later in 2005 their Cinemark theater project in Mansfield, Texas received the prestigious "Best Of" Award for Sports / Entertainment Facility Construction from Texas Construction Magazine.

"We’re delighted to have been selected for the Outstanding Construction Award," said Phillip Bell, President of Bob Moore Construction. "We knew the Mouser Electronics project was special and were pleased when it won the Summit Award in north / east Texas earlier this year. The Texas Building Branch AGC’s Outstanding Construction Award competition covers the entire state of Texas. There are some tremendous buildings being constructed in Houston, San Antonio, Austin and around the state, so we’re particularly happy to be chosen for the award above that tough competition. Our project manager, Curt Hellen, and the rest of the construction team did a remarkable job with the Mouser Electronics expansion and they are certainly deserving of this high recognition.”

"The Mouser Expansion project was a remarkable project for us. The building itself presented some significant challenges but Curt Hellen and the rest of our team did a superb job of working closely with the client and the subcontractors. As a result they successfully delivered a beautiful building that is a true showpiece for us, for Mouser Electronics and for the city of Mansfield."

"Our project team is thrilled to have been selected for the Outstanding Construction Award," said Curt Hellen, Senior Project Manager for Bob Moore Construction. "I'm very pleased to see this project recognized for the sake of everyone who was involved. Glenn Smith of Mouser, our site superintendent Jerry Clem, all the subcontractors and their workers, FRS Design Group, all did a tremendous job. This just goes to show that when the client, the general contractor, the architect and all the subcontractors all collaborate and work together as professionals, the results are going to be great."
