New York, NY, February 25, 2012 --(PR.com)-- [x+1], www.xplusone.com, the leader in digital marketing hub technology, announced today it has hired Rick Landsman, a recognized Internet advertising systems pioneer, to the new position of Senior Vice President, Engineering. He will oversee multiple groups within engineering, including quality assurance, database processes and intellectual property.

Landsman, who most recently was Vice President of Product Technology at mobile marketing and advertising technology firm Velti, has 12 patents to his credit for intelligent agent-based advertising delivery systems, 10 in the United States and two internationally.

Prior to Velti, Landsman was a co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of mobile advertising firm Ringleader Digital Corp. While there, he invented Media Stamp, the company’s anonymous mobile device fingerprinting technology. The patent for that technology was awarded in January 2012.

Landsman was also a co-founder and CTO of Unicast Communications, which created one of the first third-party web advertising platforms. At Unicast, he was the original architect and software developer of its trademarked SUPERSTITIAL technology. This breakthrough development enabled interactive ads with full animation, sound and graphics to be used in branding, direct marketing, e-commerce and entertainment applications. Ten of Landsman’s 12 patent awards came from his work at Unicast; another eight patents are pending. Among Unicast’s investors were Intel Capital and BBN Technologies, now part of Raytheon.

“The concept of a digital marketing hub is being made a reality at [x+1],” said Landsman on his decision to join the company. “Now with all the consumer data being generated from handheld devices and smart phones, as well as more traditional digital channels, there’s a huge opportunity for companies to synchronize optimal messages for each audience and boost performance through integrated, reinforced cross-channel messaging. This is an area where [x+1] is positioned as a leader, so it’s an especially exciting time to become a part of where they’re headed.”

“With the advertising technology industry advancing so quickly, we are committed to providing the absolute best engineering capabilities in the sector for marketers and agencies,” said John Nardone, Chairman and CEO of [x+1]. “With Rick Landsman joining the team, we have another engineering visionary whose mix of creativity, innovation and executive leadership has launched several companies. His unique skills and experience with core mobile, web advertising and analytics platforms will help us accelerate our vision and product roadmap of multi-touchpoint marketing technologies.”
