Jordan Kasteler (Campaign Organizer)... 801-923-8272 (UARC)
Time Of Action: Saturday, March 31, 9:30 AM - 12pm
Location: Lagoon Amusement Park, Farmington, Utah. On Lagoon Drive, just South of parking lot entrance.

After numerous Animal Welfare Act (AWA) violations from USDA’s minimal standards, Utah Animal Rights Coalition (UARC) begins a non-stop campaign against the amusement park.

UARC expects 30-50 people of all ages and origin to join the rally Saturday morning, March 31st. Activists will be holding signs and distributing leaflets to educate all of the potential customers of the park. Activists will be urging families to boycott Lagoon until the captive animals are released to animal sanctuaries and rescues.

Viewed by the “Wild Kingdom Train” ride, animals non-indigenous to our ecosystem are imprisoned and held against their will. UARC’s investigations has found a bear being blasted in the face with scalding steam from the train, innocent animals kept in deplorable conditions in cages that in no way resemble their natural habitat where they belong, as well as many other AWA violations.

UARC’s Demands: UARC will continue its campaign until Lagoon’s captive animals are released to sanctuaries. All animals are to be placed in sanctuaries where they will receive adequate space and love, living the rest of their lives without harassment by humans. UARC will help to the best of their abilities to provide transportation and housing for all the imprisoned animals.
