The New Jersey Junior Classical League to Hold Certamen Competition at Princeton University

Princeton, NJ, February 26, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The New Jersey Junior Classical League (New Jersey JCL) announces its plans to hold its 2012 Certamen competition on March 20, 2012 at Princeton University. The Certamen will encompass a series of competitive events, all centering on knowledge of Latin and antiquity. Participants and spectators will congregate at 9 a.m. at Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall for the start of the four-hour event.

“With the gracious approval and assistance of the Department of Classics at Princeton University, the 2012 New Jersey JCL Certamen will again be held at Princeton,” says Courtney Bree of the New Jersey JCL. “Students attending this year’s Certamen will compete in an academic bowl competition with questions on knowledge of Latin and of ancient Greek and Roman culture. Each year, we anticipate an exciting competition, and I do not expect this year’s Certamen to disappoint!”

The New Jersey JCL Certamen is held annually and has been held at Princeton for many years. The New Jersey JCL is proud of its relationship with Princeton University and looks forward to another successful Certamen.
