Chicago, IL, March 02, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Chicago Lighthouse presents Jazz Night with performances by Lisa Hilton and Nikki George at premiere music lounge The Joynt, 650 N. Dearborn, on Thursday, March 29, from 8-10 p.m.

Admission includes unlimited premium alcohol, snacks, and live entertainment. A raffle of musical and related items of interest will also be held. Tickets may be purchased for $45 until March 23, and $55 after online at: www.chicagolighthouse.org/store/event-tickets or by calling Special Events at 312-997-3679.

The evening will open with popular local singer Nikki George. With a warm personality and an amazing voice, George enjoys the versatility of jazz. She began her musical career in Chicago and has performed in New York, Florida, and Europe, among other cities. Her work has aired on Chicago stations, like WRRG and WNUA, and she has also appeared on WGN and WYIN television. The Chicago Tribune has said of Ms. George: “She is sensational, electrifying… and an obviously accomplished singer.”

Critically acclaimed composer and pianist Lisa Hilton will next take the stage as headlining act on the piano. Dubbed the “Lioness of Jazz,” Hilton’s fluid, expressive playing style is influenced by Miles Davis. Her music is played on numerous radio stations in the U.S., Canada, and around the world. She has also been featured on NPR’s Morning Edition, XM Radio, and XM Radio. The Zone Music Reporter said last year of Ms. Hilton, “She is one of the major voices in the modern jazz community.”

The night will be entertaining and enjoyable, from the performances to the raffle prizes. The proceeds of the evening will directly support The Chicago Lighthouse’s 28 programs and services for people who are blind or visually impaired.
