Chicago, IL, March 03, 2012 --(PR.com)-- There is a new prime time challenger at least in the Chicago TV market on Thursday night. AuthorsBroadCast is proud to announce the launch of its new TV program "Authors Showcase" which airs Thursday at 8PM on Chicago Cable Channel 25 and is viewable 24/7 at the AuthorsBroadCast.com website.

The program features segments of interest to readers and authors and showcases a number of book trailers throughout the thirty minute program. Their most recent trailer production, "The Sirens Call" will be one of the "From the Bookshelf" offerings scheduled in the next month or two.

Though the program is local now, at least it is in a major market and the company is looking at creative ways to syndicate the show and bring it to a wider audience.

AuthorsBroadCast.com produces and displays book trailers designed to introduce readers to new books and new authors. Just like movie trailers, book trailers are short videos, typically less than two minutes, that help readers understand what a book is about and produced to get them emotionally involved in the plot or subject matter.

Executive producer, Reno Lovison says, "Our objective is to find innovative low cost ways to help small publishers and self-published authors use video on and off the web to reach their potential readers. The publishing industry has changed and we want to be a positive part of that paradigm shift."
