Stanbridge College Donates Baby Food, Supplies to Wounded Warrior Families

Stanbridge College recently ran a two-week-long donation drive gathering baby food and supplies for the families of Wounded Warriors. The college partnered with Words of Comfort, Hope and Promise to distribute the donations.

Irvine, CA, March 04, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Stanbridge College students, staff and faculty gathered supplies to donate to families of Wounded Warriors out of Camp Pendleton in San Diego, CA. The college ran a two-week-long donation drive and collected diapers, wipes, formula, food and new pacifiers. At the end of the two weeks, Stanbridge delivered the donations to their REACH partner for community service, Words of Comfort, Hope and Promise (WCHP) to help distribute the donations to the Wounded Warrior Readiness program.

According to Cynthia Martinez, President and Founder of WCHP, “We thank Stanbridge College very much for their donations of baby items for our Wounded Warrior babies. The Wounded Warrior Family Readiness Officer was thrilled to see all of the donations from Stanbridge.”

The Baby Food and Diaper Donation Drive is part of the REACH – Beyond the Classroom Service Learning and Civic Engagement initiative at Stanbridge College. REACH encourages students to give back to their local and global community through a variety of community service activities. Last November, REACH worked with WCHP by donating snacks, socks and other items and packing over 100 care packages as Christmas presents for overseas Marines stationed in Afghanistan.
