Stafford Photographer Wins Community Service Award

Gerald Griffith, of Griffith Photography, located in Stafford, Virginia received the 2007 Community Service Award from Granville Academy. The award is presented to the individual or business that provides support to the academy in their efforts to promote entrepreneurship in the minority community.

Stafford, VA, May 24, 2007 --(PR.com)-- On May 19th, 2007, Gerald Griffith, the owner of Griffith Photography, received the 2007 Community Service Award from Granville Academy through providing pro-bono services to the organization.

Griffith Photography provides photographic documentation of the Academy's events and funtions to allow them create a historical record of their activities and events.

The mission of the Granville Academy Northern Virginia is to provide youth in grades 8 through 12, primarily from the inner city, with fundamental skills in business, finance, science and engineering in bi-weekly sessions over five years. By gaining these skills, students will be better equipped to overcome barriers and assimilate into the economic mainstream. It is intended that students share their knowledge with others and ultimately help build strong and economically viable inner city communities based on free enterprise.

Griffith Photography is committed to assisting wherever possible in the promotion of youth and youth activities. Mr. Griffith believes that he and his business have a responsibility in encouraging young people to be possitive as theiy grow and develop.
