Mastana Fashion Show by Strand of Silk Designer Collection

Strand of Silk Shows a selection of their Fusion Indian Designer Collection at the Mastana 2012 Event along side many talented acts preformed by students of the Cambridge University.

London, United Kingdom, March 10, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Strand of Silk (www.strandofsilk.com) takes part in the Mastana Annual art show at the Corn Exchange in Cambridge.

At one of the most important shows of its kind in the UK: with an audience of over 1300 and over 80 performers all composed by students from Cambridge University. Every year the Mastana event offers students and their families an outstanding mix of traditional and contemporary Asian dances, fashion shows, comedies, live music and theatre, in an effort to raise money for the Children in Need, India, and Street Child Africa charities.

As "Flashback" by Calvin Harris beats to the rhythm of the range of adorned neutrals Strand of Silk opens steps onto the catwalk as the first of five shows, with seven looks brought together from their fusion collection of Indian Designer clothing for both ladies and gentlemen.

Following passionate debates about educating youngsters about the craftsmanship in Indian fashion, Strand of silk dresses student models with just that, taking the serious topic to a fun filled choreographed catwalk in the center of the West with renowned Indian designers such as Akaaro by Gaurav Jai Gupta, AM:PM, Abraham & Thakore, Meera Mahadevia, Rajesh Pratap Singh and Siddartha Tytler.

Enjoyable and entertaining and inspiring all at once, this is an event at the horizon with the organization, enthusiasm, talent and polish. A classic without timelines, brought together with reflections that have modernized cultures and traditions within conceptual forms of art.
