Filmmakers Int'l Screenplay Awards Announces "Bocce Games" by Bianca Biagioni as a Semifinalist

Screenplay "Bocce Games" written by emerging screenwriter Bianca Biagioni has made it further into yet another round in the Filmmakers International Screenplay Awards qualifying as a semi-finalist.

Los Angeles, CA, March 15, 2012 --( "Bocce Games" written by Bianca Biagioni has been selected as a semi-finalist by the officials at Filmmakers Global in the 10th Filmmakers International Screenwriting Awards. With only 35 screenplays from all over the world remaining in each category, the final winners are set to be announced on March 27th. Up-and-coming screenwriter Bianca Biagioni was recently selected as a Fourth Round Qualifier in the Golden Brad Awards and as a Top Ten Finalist in La Femme International Film Festival.

"Bocce Games," part one of a trilogy, follows the story of Frankie and Julia as they try to balance true love while growing up in a violent and perilous world of the Italian Mafia. The romance between Frankie and Julia leaps off the page and sets this piece apart from other mafia films. The family dynamic is rich, dangerous and loving in its own way and allows the seductive world of Italy to shine. Themes of independence, family, loss of innocence, and love permeate the script and create a most fulfilling experience.

Bianca Biagioni moved to Los Angeles six years ago where she has since worn many hats in the entertainment field. She assistant directed on the short film "Grasshopper" starring James Franco and Rachel Miner as well as on the feature film "The Switch" starring Ethan Phillips, Jude Ciccolella, and James Morrison, set to be released next near. After wrapping "The Switch", she moved into ABC studios and started her production company Eternal Productions, LLC. After producing indie horror film "Rock Point" starring Sonia Rockwell and putting production on hold because of actor/director availability reasons, Bianca decided to shift her focus to the development side and began screenwriting. Currently, she is working on part two of the trilogy "Bocce Games" and an untitled crime/drama/thriller, DJ'ng (DJ BIA BIA), Event Planning (BIA Productions), and producing music with an EP now set to be released this spring.
