Unveiling the Li Cari 2012 Autumn Winter Collection with a Fashion Installation in Hollywood

Los Angeles, CA, March 15, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The fashion world will get its first look at the Li Cari AW2012 collection on March 21, 2012. This by invitation only event held at the Station Hollywood for the who’s who in fashion will commence at 9:00pm with red carpet arrivals that lead to a chic cocktail party for buyers, editors, celebrities, and VIP guests. The designer has chosen to display her collection as a fashion installation along with a charity auction for Unlikely Heroes.

International fashion designer Jazmin Whitley’s The Europe Collection will bring a splash of Europe to USA. “The Europe” is a women’s ready to wear collection comprised of organic cashmere, silks and woven fabrics in soft colors, blue, yellow, black and champagne. The range features the designer’s characteristic elements of classic timeless pieces through a soft and wearable palette. The designer commented, “I wanted to bring a bit of Europe royalty and Hollywood grace together, I believe this collection does that. This collection is season-less and pieces are staples for a wardrobe.”

Launching her label in March of 2006 during LA fashion week was just the beginning for the then only 17 year old young girl. She was the youngest to show in LA and then made fashion history again during New York Fashion week. Whitley continued to amaze fashion lovers collection after collection and by 2008 MTV asked her to film a documentary series on her life and take viewers backstage into the world of fashion. The show “House of Jazmin” aired August 2009, and continued to air in 16 countries. Li Cari by Jazmin Whitley is always striving to become a better role model for other fashion houses. It is a sweat shop free and child labor free company as well using organic and natural fabrics whenever possible. “I always try to think, not only of my design but of the world around us when I am creating,” States Whitley. The featured charity, Unlikely Heroes, is an LA based organization that exists to create restoration homes and rehabilitation centers for children who have been rescued from sexual slavery and human trafficking both in the United States and internationally. Unlikely Heroes have one restoration home open in the Philippines and has plans to open at least three more homes in 2012. Erica Greve, is the President and Founder of Unlikely Heroes. Erica graduated with her Master’s Degree in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley in 2008 and has worked with youth and young adults nationwide for over ten years. Erica’s vision is to see every child who has been sold for sex in America rescued, provided with safe housing, rehabilitated, and restored. The auction will have items from Li Cari as well as other exclusive items that will benefit the charity.
