Power Publisher’s New Release – Emotions by Anil Sinha

A senior manager in SAIL, RSP, and an engineer by profession, Anil Sinha, is out and out a man of emotive expression. After defeating cancer, he is giving expression to his erstwhile stored thoughts through his new book, Emotion.

Kolkata, India, March 17, 2012 --(PR.com)-- After being rescued from the verge of succumbing to cancer, Anil feels it is a fresh life to him just to give words to his emotions. But, what about the things he would write about? Nature, and other animals? They are gifted with life, the most precious thing on earth. But are they able to give vent to their emotions through words, as he can do now? Pondering upon this thought, Anil brings them as the subject of his poetry, and short stories in his book, Emotions.

Emotion is a complex psychological experience of an individual's state of mind as immediately interacting with biochemical (internal) and environmental (external) influences. In humans emotion fundamentally involves psychological stirring, expressive behaviours, and conscious experience. Emotion is associated with mood, temperament, personality, and motivations. Motivations direct and energize behavior pattern, while emotions provide the affective component to motivation, positive or negative. Perspectives on emotions from evolutionary theory were initiated in the late 19th century with Charles Darwin's epoch-making book The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals. Darwin's original thesis was that emotions evolved via natural selection and, therefore, have cross-culturally several universal counterparts. Furthermore, animals also undergo emotions comparable to our own. In the early 1970s, Paul Ekman and his colleagues began a line of research that suggests that many emotions in living beings are universal. He found evidence that humans, in general, share at least five basic emotions: fear, sadness, happiness, anger, and disgust. While humans have had differing views of animal emotion, it is interesting that, the scientific examination of animal emotion has led to little information beyond a recognition that animals have the capacity for pain and fear, and such responses as are needed for survival. Anil, in his Emotions, collection of poetry and short stories, has artistically put his argument that, all the living beings in the variety and plenty of Nature, are all blessed with emotions and power to express them differently from each other.
