AIR Makes Its Mark at the PMR EXPO in Germany

AIR Germany attended the PMR Expo showcasing the latest in DIPM and MTS1 safety and security application based on the TETRA System. AIR also presented the SafeMobile technology on TETRA Live system demonstrating its capability to manage GPS tracking and specific monitoring requirements with great flexibility. The event was well attended with over 3000 communication professionals from around the world visiting the AIR booth.

Schaumburg, IL, March 19, 2012 --(PR.com)-- American International Radio (AIR) had a very busy week in Köln, Germany with its German office participating as an exhibitor at the prestigious PMR (Professional Mobile Radio and Command & Control Centres) Expo.

The company showcased the latest application solutions - Safe-Guard - the safety and security application for the TETRA Radio which are certified by the BGR 139 regulation. The application was developed by AIR together with its channel partner Schmidt Funktechnik GmbH & B.I.N.S.S. Datennetze und Gefahrenmeldesysteme GmbH Berlin. All the key features of this system such as the Man Down Alert, Timing Alert, Panic Alert and other in house location features were demonstrated to the visitors by the engineering team.

SafeMobile, a leading provider of mobile asset management solutions also demonstrated its capabilities over the TETRA Live system.

PMRexpo is among the biggest exhibition targeting trunked radio, mobile radio and command & control centre professionals. Every year, billions of Euros of investments and trade deals are signed at the expo. Experts from logistics, public transport, energy, municipal utilities and security services such as rescue, fire and police attend the expo. As per the organizer’s official statement, 190 exhibitors participated this year as compared to 177 last year. The expo was organized by the the North Rhine-Westphalia government in Germany.

AIR had the honor of sharing the booth with Motorola at the latter’s invitation. Asked how the response from the event was, Mr Wolfgang Jeckstadt, general manager from AIR Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG said, "First, we would like to thank Motorola for inviting us to share the booth with them. The event is highly focused in terms of the target market it addresses and this has been evident in the responses and enquiries we have been receiving. Our demos were well received by potential customers and authorities such as National Engineering and Planning office. Both applications work very well with the TETRA radios."
