St Julians, Malta, April 03, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Today is an exciting day at Le Méridien St Julians Hotel & Spa for Starwood Preferred Guests (SPG) - the loyalty programme of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. Le Méridien St Julians is officially launching an extensive array of member benefits that went into effect starting March, 1st. These new amazing advantages are on top of the existing benefits that our SPG members already enjoy today. These changes reflect the feed-back of SPG current members and will give Starwood elite members more flexibility and more choices.

The added benefits are the following:

1. Welcome gift at check-in for all SPG Gold members. At Le Méridien St Julians Hotel & Spa, Gold members will be able to choose from:
250 bonus star points per eligible stay
in-room internet access free all stay
A complimentary Bajtra liquor topped up with Prosecco
Similar options will be offered in all Starwood properties around the world.

2. Continental breakfast for Platinum members: continental breakfast is now a new option as part of the Welcome gift choice for Platinum’s at check-in. At Le Méridien St Julians Hotel & Spa, Platinum members can now choose from:
Complimentary breakfast for two in the Executive Lounge
Bonus Starpoints
Local gift

3. 10 Suite night award: Platinum members who spend at least 50 nights in calendar year at Starwood properties will receive 10 Suite Night Awards to upgrade to a suite or premium room. This benefit is in addition to the existing benefit of offering upgrades at check-in to the best available room.

4. Platinum members with 75 eligible nights per year? Double your earnings. Platinum members who reach 75 nights in a calendar year will receive 4 Starpoints per eligible dollar earned (instead of the standard 2 Starpoints per eligible dollar). These Platinum members will also receive access to Your24, a new benefit which allows members to choose their check-in time. For example, if you check in at 9 pm, you can stay until 9 pm day of departure.

5. Platinum members with 100 eligible nights per year? Platinum members who reach 100 nights will be allocated their own personal SPG Ambassador to assist with any of their travel plans.

6. SPG Lifetime™ - Become a Member For Life
Gold status - members with 250 eligible nights in total and 5 years of elite SPG status will earn SPG Lifetime Gold status.
Platinum status - members with 500 eligible nights in total and 10 years of Platinum status will earn SPG Lifetime Platinum status.
