U.S. Labor Department Settles with Executive of Austin, Texas Veterinary Clinic

Austin, TX, March 23, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The U.S. Department of Labor clears Tal Shohamy, The Manager of White Angel Animal Hospital from allegations of misusing 401(k) profit sharing. A settlement, filed in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas-Austin Division, clears Tal Shohamy from most allegations. Mr. Shohamy admitted to paying $6,151.50 late thus violating the Employee Retirement Income Security Act by failing to remit employee contributions on time. In the settlement Mr. Shohamy promised not to make a 401k contribution payment late again, was fined $1,392.92, and was required to take 8 hours of CE. “This case demonstrates that it is easier to pay a small fine and to admit a little technicality than to fight the unlimited resources of the Federal Government,” said Tal Shohamy, “and unlike the Government, I cannot afford to spend hundreds of lawyer hours on this case.”
