Burgess Recognized at National Service Industry Advertising Awards

Portland, Maine-based Burgess Advertising & Marketing has been recognized for the quality and effectiveness of its work at the 9th Annual Service Industry Advertising Awards.

Portland, ME, March 30, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Burgess Advertising & Marketing has been recognized for the quality and effectiveness of its work at the 9th Annual Service Industry Advertising Awards.

The Annual Service Industry Advertising Awards were first started in 2002 to recognize advertising excellence from service industry providers.

This year more than 2,000 entries were received from 400 advertising agencies and 1,000 institutions from throughout the country.

The Portland, Maine-based full service marketing agency was presented with six awards.

Burgess Advertising & Marketing, now in its 26th year of providing full marketing services, won:

· A Silver Award for client Everett J. Prescott's “Counterfeit Ad Series”

· A Silver Award for its "Pardon Our Appearance” billboard for the Portland International Jetport

· A Silver Award for an image TV Campaign for Catholic Charities

· A Bronze Award for its “Devil Ducks” TV commercial for the Maine Department of Environmental Protection

· A Bronze Award for its Direct Mail Campaign for Evergreen USA

· A Merit Award for Androscoggin Valley Hospital’s Website Home Page

Meredith Strang Burgess, CEO of Burgess Advertising & Marketing, said although it was a great honor to be recognized by the Annual Service Industry Advertising Awards, the most important thing was that all of the six entries had been very successful in raising awareness of the services provided by the clients.
