Poems from an Open Space: A Reality Revolution Published by Outskirts Press

David Domon’s new collection of poetry with Isabella Zumas is a rhythmic adventure of looking at life from the open spaces that honesty provides and seeing, anew, the simplicity that is there, beyond a world so firmly built on complexity and lies.

Temecula, CA, April 03, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Poet David Domon announced today the release of A Reality Revolution, published by Outskirts Press. Domon’s new collection of poetry offers, in his own words, “a lucid awakening through honest rhyme,” and his 266 lyrical poems provide a series of delightful steps for his readers to take toward an increased awareness of the world around them, both with its falsities and its truths.

“to find your mind inside of mine.”

So reads a line from the introductory element to the book, foreshadowing the journey of Domon’s readers through the philosophical, often Zen-like musings and insights he offers, delicately, on a gentle bed of verse, like these lines from “See”:

“A view from inside out
To views from outside in
Where these two overlap
Is where we all have been.”

Domon’s poems offer an airy, but poignant commentary on life as he shares his insights on love and the lessons he has learned along the way on his own travels, both physical and metaphysical. He quietly catalogues what he calls “the seemingly endless quarrel of bad ideas toward decline” that he’s observed in this world, but his exposure of them always rides on an optimistic tone, as in “What Perfect Is”:

“Is perfect the only way
You enjoy any day
I’ll let you in on perfect’s fray
It isn’t real, it doesn’t stay.”

The poems of A Reality Revolution are a communication line through the mind’s eye to a place that, as Domon writes, “only the genuine know.” It’s worth the trip.
