A Short Film by Standifer Kilgore “The Road Not Traveled” Screens April 19th


Short film by Standifer Kilgore of Bad Prop Gun Productions about the consequences of bullying, starring Brooke Peacock, Jade Kilgore, Kennedy Blair, Paiton Patterson, Katie Johnson, and Tanner Lee to screen on April 19, Chattanooga, TN at Broad Street Film Festival.

Chattanooga, TN, April 06, 2012 --(PR.com)-- "The Road Not Traveled" is a short film produced and directed by Standifer Kilgore, a media technology student at Chattanooga State. It will be released for public screening on April 19, 2012 at the Carmike Majestic 12. The theater is located at 311 Broad Street in Chattanooga, TN. The movie was filmed in its entirety in Whitwell, TN. Written by Standifer Kilgore and Jade Kilgore, it addresses one of the more serious consequences of bullying – suicide, or bullycide as it is often referred to by the media. As of this writing, twelve American teens have taken their own lives as a direct result of bullying in 2012. All of the film crew and cast are students and faculty at Whitwell High School, Whitwell, TN. The cast includes Kennedy Blair, Paiton Patterson, Katie Johnson, and Tanner Lee, starring Brooke Peacock and featuring Jade Kilgore as Lilith.

Screening times are 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Eastern time.
Admission is $10.00 for students and $12.00 for others. Group rates are available for groups of 10 or more.

This screening is a part of the Broad Street Film Festival. The festival is an educational, regional, and original film festival that seeks to provide a venue for collegiate filmmakers in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area to show their work to their peers and to the community at large. A not-for-profit organization, the Broad Street Film Festival exists under the umbrella of the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga with its own Board of Directors.
