Travel & Words Spring 2012 Conference Focuses on Current Travel Media Trends


April 29-30, 2012, conference in historic Pt. Townsend, Washington presents panelists, writers, editors, travel & tourism professionals and regional tourism organizations, all sharing resources, story ideas and contacts for travel writers, bloggers and authors.

Portland, OR, April 10, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Pacific NW Travel Writers Conference 2012 theme of "Go! Write. Pitch. Publish." sums up the focus of this energetic and interactive annual conference designed to providers writers with an arsenal of story ideas and productive contacts.

The 2012 conference, held at Fort Worden State Park Conference Center in the historic seaport of Port Townsend, Washington, provides a 1.5-day agenda that includes a freelance writer panel, an editors and publishers panel, presentations and exhibits by several destination marketing organizations and tourism PR professionals, expert presenters, interactive workshops and a networking mixer.

Lodging is available at Fort Worden State Park and in the city of Port Townsend. To register for the conference and learn more about conference lodging, visit the Travel and Words website. Early registration rate of $125 is available through April 15; regular registration is $145. Registration includes conference materials, access to presenters and exhibitors, refreshments and meals.

Port Townsend is about 2 hours from Seattle (including ferry).
