NH Remodeling Firm Matches Spring Boutique Proceeds for Nashua Pastoral Care Center

Nashua, NH-based remodeling firm G.M. Roth announced the results of a fundraiser held to support the Nashua Pastoral Care Center, and announced the donation of a matching contribution to the non-profit agency that supports low-income individuals and families at-risk of homelessness with the basic necessities of life.

Nashua, NH, May 31, 2007 --(PR.com)-- After raising funds for the Nashua Pastoral Care Center earlier this month, remodeling firm G.M. Roth announced it will make a matching contribution to the local non-profit agency, which provides low-income individuals and families at-risk of homelessness with the basic necessities of life.

The First Annual Spring Fever Extravaganza Shopping Boutique, which took place on May 4th and 5th, was held at G.M. Roth’s showroom at 12 Murphy Drive in Nashua. It featured the works of 23 juried New Hampshire artisans, with entertainment provided by the Fletcher Bis-Cornet Jazz Trio and the harpist De Luna.

"We’re very happy with how this event turned out," said Gerry Roth, president of the award-winning design firm. "The Nashua Pastoral Care Center reached their fundraising goal, the artisans got some great exposure, and the people who came had a wonderful time as well."

In addition to raising funds and providing some of life’s necessities to single mothers in transition, G.M. Roth provided an additional $275 cash donation to the Nashua Pastoral Care Center. The proceeds were used to create gift bags of toiletries for a dozen mothers, and to hold a special luncheon for them in honor of Mother’s Day.

“I’m so glad we could do this,” said Cynthia Mailhot, Director of PR and Events, who also worked with the Nashua Pastoral Care Center to put the toiletry bags together. “You see what these women are going through – some battered, others nearly homeless with their kids – and you just have to do something to help them, and help groups that support these women.”

A previous holiday boutique held by G.M. Roth in December of 2006 benefitted Marguerite’s Place, a transitional housing program for women and children in crisis. G.M. Roth plans to hold more charity events like these in the coming months.
