)-- FieldTurf is the choice of Tonka baseball. Minnetonka High School has chosen to install “FieldTurf DoublePlay Classic” at Veterans Field, as the school elects to go with the most innovative baseball-specific system in the industry.
FieldTurf’s product development team, along with research partner Penn State University, designed the DoublePlay product line to be completely customizable to the needs of baseball clients by controlling the speed and pace of the baseball through innovative fiber height and infill solutions. Such customization allows for all baseball programs to get the field they want and the field that best compliments the skills of their team.

The school’s baseball program is regarded as one of the best in the nation, often ranking in the top ten for AAA baseball in the state of Minnesota. 72 players participate in the baseball program, playing for 4 teams. Coach Twenge anticipates the continued relationship with FieldTurf will help solidify Minnetonka baseball for years to come, and looks forward to committing all its efforts towards its players.
