AndroidPIT, a global Android platform published in six languages, has just exceeded 1 million registered users, becoming the world's largest community of Android users.

Berlin, Germany, April 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- AndroidPIT, the Berlin-based Android online platform, has just clocked in over 1 million registered users, making it the largest independent Android online platform in the world. Within just two years since its initial launch as an Android blog and forum in 2009, AndroidPIT has exhibited tremendous growth, going from 1.5 million unique visitors in March 2011 to over 5 million in the span of a year. Having started out as a German-language website for Android fans, AndroidPIT has rapidly expanded to encompass five additional languages: English, Spanish, Russian, French and Portuguese. In line with AndroidPIT's growth on an international level, the company's total number of employees grew from a four-person team to over 40 full-time employees with plans in place to increase that number to a total of 70 employees in the coming months.

"We're really excited about the rapid pace of our company's development and we're absolutely positive that we can reach the 3 million registered user mark by the end of 2012," said Phillip Dommermuth, CEO of AndroidPIT. "We're expecting our growth to continue through 2012 and beyond in terms of visitors internationally."

With its young and dynamic team of editors and Android experts, AndroidPIT is a global Android news source on the market, generating a wide spectrum of Android-related news and content in six languages. Based on the website's growing reach and popularity worldwide, AndroidPIT is striving to cement its position as the world's leading Android website. AndroidPIT plans on adding two additional languages in May 2012 and projects topping 10 million unique visitors by the end of 2012.
