It’s a fantastic service that helps vulnerable people stay independent for longer and brings real benefits to the individual, their families and loved ones.”
Stewart Smith, Marketing Director at Telecare24 added, "We are delighted to have Dr Hilary on board with us. Having Dr Hilary’s input will no doubt prove invaluable as we look to provide practical low cost solutions to help people enjoy the freedom of living independently their own home. The number of UK residents over 60 has risen dramatically over the last decade with one in five residents now over 60. This trend is set to continue and Telecare24 recognise the need to help people stay independent as it brings benefits to the whole of society."
Telecare24 currently provide low cost pendant alarms
with 24 hour monitoring to help people remain safe at home. Currently if a client experiences difficulties they just have to press the small pendant worn on the wrist or round the neck to summon assistance. An operator at the Telecare24 Careline centre will answer the call and then arrange for any assistance to be given including the request for emergency services. However, Telecare24 feel that more can be done to help people.
Neil Evans, Operations Director at Telecare24 said, “We believe technology can play a large part in helping people carry out important daily tasks at home and we are currently testing a new service that will really help people stay active and safe at home. Its an exciting time here at Telecare24 and we look forward to launching this revolutionary new service the coming weeks alongside Dr Hilary Jones.”
