Beer Cartel Taps Into Small Business Awards

Craft beer store Beer Cartel has been chosen as one of Australia’s Top 50 start-ups in the 2012 StartupSmart Awards.

Artarmon, Australia, April 19, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Beer Cartel (www.beercartel.com.au) has done it again, making the top 50 in the 2012 StartupSmart Awards. The awards which are open to the most innovative and promising Australian businesses aged four years and younger, are in their second year and were sponsored and hosted by leading national accounting firm, Pitcher Partners.

The top 50 award for Beer Cartel builds on its previous honours of best website at the 2011 Beer and Brewer Awards, and finalist in the 2012 Australian Small Business Champion Awards (winners yet to be announced).

Beer Cartel Manager Geoff Huens said that the business is currently going from strength to strength and it is awards like this that lay claim to this case. Mr Huens said that the beer capacity both in store and online has increased significantly over time, with the last count in store at around 290 beers, reflecting the increased demand the bottleshop has seen.

Not ready to sit on its laurels Beer Cartel has been continuing to innovate, including significantly increasing its in-store shelving to continue to grow its beer range, developing a beer tasting room, and a revamp of the Beer Cartel website due to take place over the next 3 months. Updating of its online store will allow greater functionality, catering for beer lovers looking to buy various individual beers as opposed to case only beers and mixed packs.
