Homestead, La Buena Vida Repeat as Grapevine Wine Tours Winners

Grapevine Wine Tours guests pick quarterly favorites in wine and winery categories.

Grapevine, TX, April 19, 2012 --(PR.com)-- For the second consecutive quarter, guests of the Grapevine Wine Tours chose Homestead Winery as the city’s “Most Outstanding Winery” and La Buena Vida’s Red Headed Stepchild Sangria the area’s “Most Outstanding Wine.”

Every guest of the Grapevine Wine Tours between January 1 and March 31, 2012, was asked to vote on their favorite wine and winery. Homestead has been a frequent winner in the winery category since the tours began in July 2010. This is the third time one of La Buena Vida’s wines has been recognized by Grapevine Wine Tours passengers, and the second win in a row for its popular sangria. No other wine has won the award in consecutive quarters.

“We’re excited that our Redheaded Stepchild Sangria has won the Grapevine Wine Tours’ award for a second straight time,” said Tiffany McLean, general manager at La Buena Vida Vineyards. “We work hard to make all our wines great here at La Buena Vida, and we’re glad to be one of the most popular stops on the tours.”

“Back-to-back wins is quite an accomplishment, and we really appreciate the recognition,” said John Hatcher of Homestead. “We always enjoy introducing Grapevine Wine Tours guests to our wines, especially watching their faces light up as they see and taste for themselves how wonderful Texas wines can be.”

Tours rotate daily between Cross Timbers Winery, Delaney Vineyards, D’Vine Wine, Farina’s Winery & Café, Homestead, La Buena Vida and Su Vino. Every four-hour excursion includes tastings at three wineries, a delicious meal, a tour of Historic Grapevine led by a professional guide, and transportation to and from local hotels on a 25-passenger tour bus.

“We’re off to a great start in 2012, and we just added a second tour bus to our fleet to accommodate our growing business,” said Ladd Biro, co-owner of Grapevine Wine Tours. “Thanks to outstanding partners like Homestead, La Buena Vida and the others, we are continuing to introduce hundreds of people to the Grapevine wineries every month.”

Lunch and dinner tours are affordably priced at $74.50 and $89.50, respectively. Group rates and deluxe packages designed for corporate outings, conference and convention groups, fundraisers, birthday and anniversary celebrations and other special occasions are also available. Special packages with area hotels are likewise available at http://www.grapevinewinetours.com/pages/packages.html.

At the conclusion of every tour, guests are asked to complete a customer service survey, which includes their choices for most outstanding winery and wine. Awards are announced quarterly and annually, exclusively by Grapevine Wine Tours.
