Recording Artist Niva the Soul Diva Enrolls in College

New York, NY, April 20, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Songwriter and Performer Niva the Soul Diva is now attending the City University of New York "Kingsborough College" in Brooklyn, New York. Niva the soul diva is regarded by many industry insiders to be at the top of the current crop of emerging R&B artists. Niva stated that she was inspired to go to college by America's Next Top Model host and fashion icon Tyra Banks. Niva stated, “Tyra went to Harvard University even though she already had a great career and millions of dollars. She knew that getting a higher education would be good for her and I think that’s a great idea. Getting more education will help my music career by making me more business savvy and even more marketable. Finally I feel that getting a higher education will make me a more well rounded and better person.” Niva the soul diva is enrolled in the mental health and social services program. Niva went on to relate that she chose this program so that she can be an asset to those who are in need of help with various life issues. Niva stated, “If you listen to a lot of my music you will hear a lot of lyrics about self esteem and self worth. I write a lot about loneliness and struggle so human services and mental health seemed like a good choice for me.”

Niva went on to encourage other young people to get into college, she stated, “Going to school was a great idea, I get grants so it does not cost hardly anything. If you're a young person with a little time to spare why not enroll in school, trust me you won’t regret it. You can manage school and whatever else you may have going on. They make you read a lot though (laughs).”

Niva the soul diva is expected to graduate in 2013.
