Patriot Fights Presidential Conspiracy in The Farm, Published by Outskirts Press

In author Charles C. Anderson’s newest thriller, Andy Carlson’s antebellum plantation becomes a key player in the action when the former SEAL resigns from the Navy after finding out that rogue CIA agents are buying up black market nuclear warheads.

Farmville, VA, April 21, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Novelist Charles C. Anderson announced today the release of The Farm, published by Outskirts Press. After settling down on his family’s Virginia estate, the Farm, ex-SEAL and emergency physician Andy Carlson finds himself and those he loves the targets of his own government and a Russian arms dealer. But the Carlson plantation is no stranger to attack. This patriot attempts to use the Farm’s network of limestone caves, family treasures and natural defenses to outwit and outfight his new enemies, while he tries to piece together why he has become a target.

Unfortunately, Andy is not prepared for the female operative sent to ensnare him in a conspiracy instigated by the President of the United States. Although he is an experienced trauma physician and a skilled warrior, he’s also a binge drinker, never comfortable around women when he’s sober. Despite being outnumbered by his enemies, Andy organizes an unlikely trio to defend the Farm: a pregnant CIA agent, a male descendent of a former Carlson slave who shares a common ancestor with the ex-SEAL, and a teenage Saudi girl.

Novelist Anderson uses his own family’s experiences on the Virginia plantation they purchased from King George II in 1743. This property shares much of the intrigue of Andy Carlson’s property, including the disappearance of the gold from the Confederate treasury on the property two days before the surrender in Appomattox. Anderson cleverly weaves his experiences as a former Naval officer with his expertise in emergency medicine, Virginia history, and weapons to produce a suspenseful narrative.
