Coming Soon Krav Maga Orange County Hosts Jon Pascal in a Personal Defense Against Car Jacking Seminar

Krav Maga Orange County is excited to have 4th degree black belt Jon Pascal for a carjacking defense seminar.

Orange County, CA, April 26, 2012 --(PR.com)-- On June 2nd, Krav Maga Orange County will host Jon Pascal as he instructs their students in personal protection and defense against car jacking from 2p to 5p.

KMOC and Pascal’s seminar will focus on defense against attackers intent on harming drivers whose vehicles have stopped, providing students with practical and effective defensive tactics. Emphasis will be on what to do to increase situational awareness to avoid becoming a victim, but when an attack becomes unavoidably, it will prepare students for defending themselves and their family once a carjacker has initiated an assault.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, “Most local and state criminal codes don't define ‘carjacking.’ It's reported as either auto theft or armed robbery. This means that no solid statistics exist on time, place, and victims.” The LAPD also states carjackings are crimes of opportunity occurring regardless of who the driver is, they occur typically at night, and most often involve a gun or other weapon. Carjackings are crimes of opportunity and occur where the opportunity is right, at stop lights, stop signs, or in parking garages. When the opportunity is not right, carjackers also may employ a “bump and rob,” capitalizing on a conscientious drivers inclination to stop after an accident. The seminar will focus on avoiding becoming a victim through prevention and self protection.

KMOC and Darren Levine recently held another successful seminar on defense against home invaders, providing students with practical and effective defensive tactics. Emphasis was on what to do once a home invasion has occurred and will prepare students for defending themselves and their family once intruders are in the home. The seminar also included Levine’s special insights on home invasions as the former District Attorney for the County of Los Angeles starting in 1990.
