Lookio Books Reaches Kickstarter Goal Within 72 Hours, Announces Website Launch for May 2012

Wauconda, IL, April 28, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Lookio Books, a publisher of personalized, customizable children’s books, began a Kickstarter campaign on April 10 to raise three thousand dollars to launch their first two Lookio Books. Within 72 hours, that goal was met.

Kickstarter is the world’s largest funding platform for creative projects. It allows for the public to financially back a project in return for rewards at various levels. People who back the Lookio Books campaign earn various rewards such as Lookio books (available starting in June), bookmarks, t-shirts, stickers, and more.

Because the Kickstarter campaign was such a success, Lookio Books has announced it will launch lookiobooks.com in May of this year. “We are amazed at our success on Kickstarter so far,” said Shawn Currie, Co-owner of Lookio Books. “Now we are going to be able to launch our website and officially open our doors for business next month.”

“It would have taken a lot longer to get to the point we’re at if it wasn’t for all the support we’ve received on Kickstarter,” said Christine Currie, the other half of the Lookio Books team. “We are thrilled that our dream of creating personalized books for kids is finally going to become a reality.” The Lookio Books Kickstarter campaign will end on May 25, 2012.
