Connecticut-Based T Nova Introduces a Breakthrough in Document Security

The Document Security Vault (DSV) is the first fully integrated cabinet system designed for document access control

East Lyme, CT, May 04, 2012 --(PR.com)-- While the move to electronic documentation has advanced considerably in recent years, it is impossible for all businesses to become truly paperless. Doctors, attorneys, universities, and military and government agencies, to name just a few, must keep paper documents on hand, often to comply with stringent guidelines. In fact, almost every business has contracts, employee records, blueprints, product specifications, and financial documents that need to be maintained on paper – and kept out of the wrong hands. Electronic document security may be getting all the buzz, but securing paper documents is still a top business concern.

To address the need for a truly secure filing system, T Nova LLC has developed the groundbreaking DSV (Document Security Vault). The DSV is not just a locking file cabinet. It is the first and only cabinet on the market to be built from the ground up as a secure, integrated system. No flimsy file cabinet lock or add-on unit can match its capacity to safeguard the most sensitive documents.

The DSV features keyless, electronic locking, with access either by keypad or proximity card. You control who has access, and to what, with unique access codes for every user. You know who opened the cabinet, and when it was opened. Access can be granted on a permanent, temporary, or as-needed basis for up to 250 unique users. You can even limit some users to certain days or times of the day when they are allowed access. When the time comes to revoke permission, it's just a matter of removing the access code. You no longer need to collect keys or worry about spare keys circulating unchecked.

"We talked to a lot of businesses that are required to keep confidential paper documents, and they expressed a real need for access control they could track and security they could depend on," said Lou Tashash, President of T Nova. "They are concerned about identity theft, protecting trade secrets, HIPAA compliance, all that. Old-fashioned locking cabinets just aren't good enough."

The DSV is constructed of heavy duty steel with a tamper-proof, motor-driven latching system, a built-in anti-tip mechanism, and drawers that automatically lock upon closing. It is available in 2-drawer, 3-drawer, and 4-drawer models, in both standard and legal widths. The DSV is 100 percent made in the USA, and it will be introduced to the market in Spring 2012. T Nova is taking orders now. In addition to the standard cabinets, T Nova can also work with customers to design custom solutions to their document protection needs.
