EMI's BTU Data to be Available Through GlobalView

New partnership brings together the leaders in gas and power market intelligence and data management

Chicago, IL, June 06, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Energy Management Institute (EMI) and GlobalView Software Inc., the energy industry’s leading data management provider, announced they have entered into a new partnership to provide BTU data through GlobalView’s award-winning MarketView solution.

MarketView aggregates real-time, delayed and historical energy market information and offers the option to integrate internal proprietary data. The web-hosted service allows customers to access information while working in the office, at home or on the road traveling. The accessibility and consistency allows departments throughout a company – from front- to back-office – to utilize the same data in the same format, streamlining their interactive activities.

MarketView pulls data from a comprehensive list of global data sources. The addition of BTU gas data, BTU power data and EMI’s Alternative Fuels Index increases the depth and comprehensiveness of the data collection. BTU is one of the most highly respected names in the energy information business. For over two decades, market intelligence has been the backbone of all BTU publications. BTU’s market and price reports provide a lifeline into the trading rooms of the largest and most active players.

“We are excited to not only extend BTUs’ market position in power and gas but to be the first to provide alternative fuel pricing in the data management space through GlobalView’s software,” said Stephen Gloyd, Partner, Energy Management Institute.

“BTU gas and power data is going to be a tremendous complement to our data collection. We pride ourselves on providing customers with the highest standards of quality and service, and EMI shares these same high standards. Its data is well known and respected in the industry, and we are very pleased to be entering into this new partnership,” said Bruce Weis, Vice President of Data Acquisition and IT Development, GlobalView.
