Samurai Karate Studio Sends Former Student Care Package

Columbia, SC, May 06, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Sensei Chris Feldt, owner and chief instructor for Samurai Karate Studio, located in Richland Northeast Columbia, recently announced his school collected and mailed a care package to one of his former students, who is currently deployed in Afghanistan.

"Fabian Murillo and his family trained over two years at my school, before he and his family were transfered to Hawaii," commented Sensei Feldt. "They knew when they went to Hawaii there was a good chance, Fabian would be deployed and sure enough, he was."

Fabian is currently serving in Afghanistan and will be there for approximately one year.

Feldt explained, "I feel truly blessed to know the Murillo family and have observed first hand, the sacrifice not only the military member makes, but the whole family. When we heard that Fabian would be away from home, in a dangerous part of the world, we decided we wanted to let him know we care!"

Donations of food and toiletry items were collected over several weeks and then SKS students made hand written notes thanking him for his service or saying a prayer for his safe return.

"The notes from our parents and students were just great," commented Feldt, "and I hope they brought a smile to Fabian's face!"

This project was part of the mission of Samurai Karate Studio, to help serve members of the local community and to try and make a difference in the life of a person, each and every day!
