Pitusa Fashion on Path to Boho-Chic Leader, Targets Australian and Brazilian Boutiques

Pitusa already sells in twenty two countries, in less than two years of operations, directly via Pitusa store in internet and at retail through a growing legion of independent boutiques scattered in the US, Europe, and the Middle East. Pitusa’s direct sales by internet have overtaken sales to shops. Boutique owners who wish to find out where Pitusa’s line is not present, can check the countries and cities absent in the list below.

Miami, FL, May 07, 2012 --(PR.com)-- “The video presenting Pitusa’s summer collection http://goo.gl/9dpmp went through the roof within minutes after posting it in Youtube,” said boho-chic designer Clara Lago (25), founder and CEO of Pitusa fashion.

In less than two years of operations, Pitusa already sells in twenty two countries via an internet store and at retail through a growing legion of independent boutiques scattered in the US, Europe, and the Middle East. So far this year, Pitusa’s direct sales by internet have overtaken sales to boutiques thus improving profit margins. Also, the company is reaching out to Australia and other countries in the southern hemisphere with a view to even out current summer-leaning sales seasonality.

Building on the success of blueprints inca abaya and skirt, peace tank - with the salaam-shalom motto - and the eco trackies, Pitusa fashion now brings new creations like the inca bikini, polka dotted hot pants, long backless dress, Monroe dress, romper, neon maxi skirt, inca kimono, mini backless dress, kaftan w/ bollitas and inca bikini. The video introducing the collection is posted in YouTube with the title “Pitusa Summer 2012 Collection.”

“The Abaya Inca is undeniably the top performer. Slim or less slim, young or less young, every woman looks great in it. As to colors, the Watermelon Abaya is the buyer’s choice,” added designer Lago.

Despite her company’s success, Lago is lukewarm on opportunities for young entrepreneurs: “speaking from my own experience, banking neglect and government ineffectiveness on access to credit are the central constraints for start ups. Pompous daily pronouncements by bankers and politicians boil down to too much rhetoric and too little money. New small businesses could pull us out of the crisis; but they do not seem to get it.”

As the US election nears, Lago – who voted for Barack Obama in 2008 - says: “I am sitting on the fence waiting for either candidate to come up with a credible program on finance for young entrepreneurs. I guess this is the case with many peers recently graduated from University.”

Clara Lago (25), American of English-Spanish parents, graduated from University in International Relations in 2010.
